HEC Issues Student Alert To Not Take Admission In PhD, M.Phil And Equivalent Study Programs
The Higher Education Commission has issued the student alert to not take admission in Ph.D./MS/M.Phil/equivalent study programs in the affiliated colleges and institutes. According to the announcement made by the HEC, it is informed that the affiliated colleges and institutes with HEC will not be allowed to offer admissions in the Ph.D., MS, M.Phil, and the equivalent study programs. The candidates are advised to not take admission in any program in the affiliated colleges and institutes as per the instructions provided by the commission. Moreover, the resultant degrees will not be accepted and verified by the Higher Education Commission.
Student Alert
The Higher Education Commission has also advised the affiliated colleges and institutes to not advertise the admissions in MS, M.Phil, and Ph.D. programs. In the case of any violation, strict action will be taken as per law. So the candidates are advised to not take admission in these offered degree programs in the HEC affiliated institutes.
Abolishment of 2 Year Degree Programs
The Higher Education Commission had earlier announced to abolish the 2-year degree programs due to quality concerns. The candidates are instructed to not enroll in the 2 years BA/BSc and MA/MSc programs as they will not be considered by the commission. Moreover, after the completion of the degree, the students will not be able to apply for the job and get higher education. The commission had also previously instructed all the colleges and universities do not offer admission in these degree programs as they will be of no benefit for the students.
