Government College University Gcu Lahore
Established in 1861, Government college university Lahore, commonly known as GC Lahore, is a premier university of Pakistan. It is a public sector university that embraces the semi-government traditions as well. With its present motto “Courage to know,” Government College University has produced thousands of courageous and able-minded persons who have faced real-world problems and provided feasible solutions. The Government College in 2002 achieved the status of a university. Govt. College University is known all over the world for its alumni. People like Allama Iqbal and Har Gobind Khorana have been affiliated with this institute. Such great history and strong present structure of research has made it one of the 10 largest educational institutions of Pakistan.

Being one of the most research-oriented and historically rich institutions, the GCU Lahore has been providing education from Higher Secondary to the Doctorate level. Thousands of students alone apply each year for the HSSC program offered at the GCU. However, the limited seats availability for the HSSC program at GCU makes it harder for the students to get enrolled at GCU for intermediate classes and the merit criteria gets difficult every year. The same is true for the merit of Undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs. The five faculties of GCU Lahore are Faculty of Chemistry and Life Sciences, Faculty of Mathematical & Physical Sciences, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Faculty of Language, Islamic & Oriental Learning and the Faculty of Engineering. All of these faculties of GCU Lahore offer many undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs. The flexible and innovative learning environment of GCU makes it one of the sought-after institutions of Pakistan. Fees of the programs offered at GCU Lahore are low when compared to the quality of education provided at GCU Lahore. The university also has 4 hostels that make it easy for the students outside Lahore to live easily.
